Master’s Commission Creative Arts Vision Statement

Drama is using the physical body to express ideas, emotions, actions, and stories. This involves our bodies, from head to toe, to express prophetically, and to portray the heart of God to all mankind.

God has given us the instrument of drama and the arts to glorify Him and to minister to other people. Our purpose in the sphere of the arts is to accurately represent the Kingdom of God with utmost excellence. We wish to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ so as to touch other people’s lives, and so the lost may be saved. This also gives us an opportunity to express what God is doing in our lives. The arts can communicate to people in such a profound way, beyond mere words.

The arts are very relevant to this generation. They are exceptionally artistic. The language of this generation is the language of the arts: music, imagery, dance, hip-hop, etc. The creative arts are a strategic medium to use in communicating the Gospel.  It is a way that we can speak the language of this culture. We seek to faithfully steward this realm.
